The Department of Economics at the U of M has 15 full-time faculty members committed to quality instruction and actively engaged in scholarship. The faculty hold Ph. D. degrees from leading private and public institutions, and has distinguished itself by its high teaching standards, quality of research and continuing interest in community service.

The Department has diverse course offerings and programs, recognizing the central role of economics in the business environment and public policy arenas. The Department offers two undergraduate degrees (BBA and BA), a Master’s of Arts degree (MA) and the doctorate (Ph.D.). The Department also offers courses in the College’s MBA, EMBA and IMBA programs.
