The Fogelman College of Business & Economics has a formal undergraduate and graduate internship program, incorporating on-the-job learning in its academic environment.
Internship education provides students with the opportunity to supplement academic instruction with practical, realistic job experience. This new opportunity will provide qualified junior, senior, and graduate business students with various forms of job experience in their academic major.
Internships increase the ability of the participating students to function effectively once they enter the workforce, and to improve their opportunity to make a more accurate decision about career choices. The total experience is coordinated and supervised by the University and the cooperating firm. Our office operates as a resource in assisting with the student’s search for internship opportunities, but does not provide placement services.
Interns can be assigned short or long term projects or assist in the daily operations of a department. Interns generally work 15 to 20 hours per week, depending on a company's need. Most positions are paid at a rate determined by the participating company. Internships are typically available for students in all majors in the Fogelman College.
